We are committed to recruit and retain a diverse team to solve critical challenges. Learn what our Chairman has to say about our commitment to diversity.
Memo from the Chairman
Our commitment to diversity is reflected in our Diversity Commitment Statement, which reads, "At the core of SAIC's mission and values is our commitment at all levels to recruit, retain and advance a diverse, talented team of highly motivated professionals to help solve critical challenges to the benefit of our customers, suppliers, employees and the communities in which we live and work."
Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is committed to providing employees and candidates for employment the right to equal employment opportunities and a discrimination-free work environment. Our employment practices are based upon an individual's capabilities and qualifications without regard to race, gender, age, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, veteran or marital status, or any other protected characteristics as established by applicable law. Equal employment opportunity applies to all personnel policies and procedures including recruitment and hiring, promotions, transfers, and terminations, as well as compensation, benefits, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
SAIC values affirmative action to recruit, hire, and promote qualified minorities, women, individuals with disabilities, and covered veterans pursuant to Executive Order 11246. This statute and others admonish government contractors from discriminating against any employee or candidate for employment because of race, gender, age, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, veteran or marital status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
Responsibility for oversight and implementation of the Company's Affirmative Action Program has been assigned to SAIC's Corporate EEO Officer, Carlos Echalar, Senior Vice President, Global HR Operations. All SAIC employees, however, share in the responsibility for fostering a discrimination-free work environment, where all employees are treated with dignity and respect. All managers and supervisors are responsible for providing leadership in making good faith efforts and in demonstrating performance towards the successful implementation of SAIC's Affirmative Action Plans and in the achievement of Plan objectives. Employees and candidates for employment wishing to review the Company's Affirmative Action Plans may contact their Human Resources Department.
It is vital that all SAIC employees encourage and support our affirmative action efforts as they serve as the foundation for establishing and maintaining a more diverse and inclusive workforce. We recognize that in today's increasingly global marketplace, our long-term success depends on our ability to attract, retain, and develop the best and brightest individuals from the world's diverse talent pool.
