Growth of the Company: FY 1972
The company continued its rapid growth in Fiscal Year 1972 and added eight new principal offices.
Fiscal Year 1972
The Albuquerque office initially was established to provide a close source of support to the Air Force Weapons Laboratory (AFWL) in the area of electromagnetic phenomena and effects. The Albuquerque office eventually included management responsibilities for SAI’s related test instrumentation work in Sunnyvale, California.
These activities were the beginnings of SAI’s Physical Sciences Group.
- Work in space and planetary sciences was initiated in Chicago, Tucson and Huntsville
- SAI won a large, multi-year contract for the verification and validation of Army software, which firmly established a Software Technology Group at SAI
