Growth of the Company: FY 1974
After five years, a solid contract research base had been established, helped by the fact that SAI located offices near most of its customers. An important new segment of national security policy work began in Fiscal Year 1974 with the Theater Warfare Project Office (TWPO); it continues today.

Two new subsidiaries were formed to expand company interests:
SAI Comsystems Corporation was founded to provide software development and engineering services to both government and industry
- Bull, Inc., was formed to provide brokerage of SAI stock to shareholders
