Growth of the Company: FY 1975
Many major new programs were developed in Fiscal Year 1975, and SAI continued to expand its existing work to new office locations. A new research area—electro-optics—opened up at a new SAI location in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as part of the evolving Military Sciences Group.
Fiscal Year 1975
SAI received a multi-year research and support services contract on High-Energy Lasers (HEL) for the Navy. In Fiscal Year 1975, SAI assisted the DoD in upgrading the reliability, survivability, and security of the Worldwide Military Command and Control System (WWMCCS). In the area of nuclear environmental services, SAI staff won a major contract with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) to conduct radioiodine measurements at eight nuclear power plants.
The SAI nuclear staff provided technical support to the Argonne and Brookhaven National Laboratories in their Fast Breeder Reactor Program
- An accelerated rate of product development and sales was realized during this year; a major product was the Plasmascope
