Growth of the Company: FY 1976
One of the most significant new program achievements in Fiscal Year 1976 was technical support and management assistance provided to the Joint Cruise Missile Program Office of the DoD. Cruise missile technology was among the most significant developments in both strategic and tactical warfare, and SAI played a critical role in its development and use by the DoD.
Fiscal Year 1976
In Fiscal Year 1976, another major new program was brought into the company, an environmental baseline characterization of the physical, chemical, and biological environment of the Southern California outer continental shelf region, conducted in anticipation of oil and gas exploration and production. This effort represented a major management and technical achievement because it required the cooperative involvement of more than twenty universities, with SAI being the prime contractor.
SAI became firmly established in an important new business area with the award of the Kuwait Training Program–this program provided SAI with added capabilities in the training of foreign nationals
SAI now had 45 locations in the U.S.
- By Fiscal Year 1976, the company’s stock purchase plan had been in existence for three years and every year an amount equal to 2% of each employee's contribution to the plan was being contributed to the bonus trust for purchase of company stock
