By Fiscal Year 1993, global and domestic economic and security trends had changed SAICs traditional markets. U.S. national priorities were being restructured, reducing opportunities in some traditional SAIC business areas, yet offering significant new opportunities in others. Growth markets included defense technology conversion, health care reform, transportation, communications and information technologies, and business process engineering. In addition, SAIC looked forward to participating in a new and more cooperative relationship between government and private industry.
