Growth of the Company: FY 1995

SAIC achieved record results in Fiscal Year 1995 because nearly 18,000 employee-owners once again combined their talents to perform successful work on wide-ranging contracts around the globe. Their efforts produced the 26th consecutive year of record financial results for SAIC, with revenues rising 19% and income growing 18%.


Fiscal Year 1995

The company branched out to serve new government customers, winning major contracts in the air traffic control, law enforcement and health care areas.

  • Business in non-defense technical service increased from 42% to 44% of revenues; total non-U.S. government revenues grew from 12% to 14% of total revenues

  • SAIC won a contract to operate the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) largest research center. The NCI contract involved about 1,300 SAIC staff, making it one of the company’s largest contracts to operate a government-owned facility

  • One-third of the company’s 15% increase in revenues resulted from nine acquisitions made in Fiscal Year 1995
