Multidisciplinary Staff
SAIC’s multidisciplinary staff includes biologists, botanists, ecologists, oceanographers, water and sediment quality professionals and chemists, cultural resource archaeologists, air quality scientists and modelers, and Geographic Information System (GIS) and information transfer specialists. We have prepared hundreds of reports and studies in compliance with environmental regulations, including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), state-equivalent Environmental Impact Reports, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, Marine Mammal Protection Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, and National Historic Preservation Act.

- Dredging and dredged material management - Our team of scientists provide unmatched experience and expertise in the complex, multidisciplinary area of dredging and dredged material management.
- Fisheries - SAIC has more than 25 years of experience providing a wide range of fisheries with environmental services, including detailed analyses of commercial and recreational data on managed species, ecological characterizations of fish and invertebrates within a variety of different habitats, and impact analyses.
- Marine sciences - SAIC oceanographers, engineers, and marine scientists specialize in multidisciplinary studies for federal, state, local, and commercial customers.
- Sand management programs - SAIC scientists offer broad capabilities in planning and monitoring local and regional beach nourishment and sand management programs.
- Water quality and chemistry - A leader in conducting studies of water and sediment quality in marine, coastal and wetland environments, SAIC’s capabilities extend across a range of issue areas from applied research, aquatic life protection, oceanographic monitoring, and coastal protection.
- Wetlands and waterways - SAIC provides environmental services for a broad range of projects involving restoration of freshwater and tidal wetlands.
