Overview
The 8(a) STARS GWAC is a fully-competed multiple-award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract set aside for exclusively 8(a)-certified small businesses. It has a $15 billion ceiling. There currently are more than 200 8(a) small business awardees across the country. The contract includes an "on/off ramp" approach at option periods. This allows for new awards if the pool of contractors shrinks due to recertification requirements that preclude option exercise if the holder is no long eligible. SAIC has worked with many of the firms that received 8(a) STARS awards and supports capture of set-aside opportunities under this contract where possible and appropriate. Combining SAIC's strengths with the capabilities of our 8(a) STARS awardees, we can offer current and new clients a way to meet their small disadvantaged business contracting goals while assuring them of low risk, high quality service levels. This contract is available for use by all federal agencies.
