Scope of Service: SAIC provides centralized enterprise management of all Entergy IT services, including policy, planning, and management services, using commercial best practices (e.g., Software Engineering Institute CMMI® Level 2). To improve IT project execution and lower costs, we helped Entergy develop a project portfolio management methodology, participating in the Entergy IT Architecture Council as a vehicle for formalizing and streamlining IT policy, and developing the metrics for measuring management performance. This approach has provided cross-enterprise technology oversight, enabled flexible IT standards, and facilitated early success.
