  2. Admin I

    • Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent desired.
    • Security: If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Provides administrative-type support to technical and management-level personnel. This includes but is not limited to linguist/analyst deployment support, documentation planning and support, project administration, program management support, event planning and administration, office relocation planning, mail services, records, data input and other office administration functions. May perform other duties as assigned.

    Admin II

    • Minimum Education: B.S., B.A. or equivalent desired.
    • Security: If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Provides technical, managerial, and administrative support for interpretation and/or translation problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation for language services program execution.

    Linguist/Analyst I

    • General Experience: Two years.
    • Security: If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Performs a variety of technical language services project support tasks, including interpretation and/or translation services and analyses.

    Linguist/Analyst II

    • Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent desired
    • General Experience: Four years.
    • Security: If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Performs a variety of technical language services project support tasks including interpretation and/or translation services and analyses.

    Linguist/Analyst III

    • Minimum Education: B.S., B.A. or equivalent desired.
    • General Experience: none.
    • Security: If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Provides language services technical expertise by conducting and/or participating in the strategic, tactical, and operational aspects of projects.

    Linguist/Analyst IV

    • Minimum Education: B.S., B.A. or equivalent desired.
    • General Experience: Two years.
    • Security: If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Plans and designs language services projects. Develops or directs the development of findings, draws conclusions, and develops recommendations. Prepares and presents reports.

    Linguist/Analyst V

    • Minimum Education: M.S., M.A. or equivalent desired.
    • General Experience: Two years.
    • Security: If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Develops or directs the development of findings, draws conclusions, and develops recommendations for language services. Prepares and presents reports. Conducts large projects and is responsible for meeting goals within time and cost constraints.

    Linguist/Analyst VI

    • Minimum Education: M.S., M.A. or equivalent desired.
    • General Experience: Three years.
    • Security: If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Develops or directs the development of findings, draws conclusions, and develops recommendations for language services. Prepares and presents reports. Conducts large projects and is responsible for meeting goals within time and cost constraints.

    Linguist/Analyst VII

    • Minimum Education: M.S., M.A. or equivalent desired.
    • General Experience: Four years.
    • Security: If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Directs the performance of or provides technical expertise to a variety of language service projects, which may be organized by technology, program or client. Oversees the technology development and/or application, marketing, and resource allocation within program client base.

    Linguist/Analyst VIII

    • Minimum Education: Ph.D. or equivalent desired.
    • General Experience: Four years.
    • Security: If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Provides expert language services, technical and managerial guidance and direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation of complex projects and programs.

    Linguist/Analyst IX

    • Minimum Education: Ph.D. or equivalent desired.
    • General Experience: Seven years.
    • Security: If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Provides expert language services, technical and managerial guidance and direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation of complex projects and programs.

    • General Experience: Four years.

    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Program management activities including planning and design of language services projects. Plans, organizes and controls the overall activities of the project. Ensures that all activities conform to the terms and conditions of the contract and delivery orders. Client consultation and project management services provided for scheduling, assignment and logistical coordination of linguist support.

    Program Manager II

    • Minimum Education: M.S., M.A. or equivalent desired.
    • General Experience: Five years.
    • Security: If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Program management activities including planning and design of language services projects. Plans, organizes and controls the overall activities of the project. Ensures that all activities conform to the terms and conditions of the contract and delivery orders. Client consultation and project management services provided for scheduling, assignment and logistical coordination of linguist support.

    Program Manager III

    Program Manager V

    • Minimum Education: M.S., M.A. or equivalent desired.
    • General Experience: 10 years.
    • Security: If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Position Duties/Responsibilities: Directs the performance of technical expertise to a variety of related language services activities which may be organized by technology, program, or client. Responsible for the effective management of funds and personnel and is accountable for the quality and timely delivery of contractual items. Ensures that all activities conform to the terms and conditions of the contract and delivery orders. Client consultation and project management services provided for scheduling, assignment and logistical coordination of linguist support.

Substitution/Equivalence

  • GED or vocational degree = high school diploma
  • Two years of higher-level education = one year general experience.
  • BS/BA = six years general experience
  • MS/MA = 10 years general experience, or B.S., B.A. and four years general experience
  • Ph.D. = 13 years general experience, or B.S., B.A. and six years general experience, or MS/MA and three years experience
