About the Contract
SAIC was awarded a GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract for Professional Engineering Services (PES), Contract No. GS-23F-0107J on August 26, 1999. Based on SAIC's recognized superior performance, GSA has exercised the second five-year option period on our PES contract extending the ordering period through August 25, 2014. One additional five-year option period is pending. The PES contract is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Schedule contract that provides for task orders to be placed as fixed-price (FP) or time and material (T&M) using the labor categories and ceiling rates defined in the contract. Order type is at the discretion of the ordering agency. There is no contract ceiling or maximum task order size for the contract.
The PES contract provides for services to be performed across the United States and overseas. Where state registration is required for offering and providing certain professional engineering services, SAIC will ensure compliance with state requirements.
Advantages of using the PES schedule include:
- Fifteen-year contract ordering period through August 25, 2014 (plus one additional five-year option to 8/25/19)
- ID/IQ contract with no ceiling & no maximum order limitations
- Labor categories/rates for FP and T&M task orders
- Available to all federal agencies and authorized organizations
- Direct customer/contractor relationship no transfer of funds to GSA required
- No CBD synopsis is required - all competitive requirements have been met
- Provides for teaming & subcontracts
- Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) may be established
