Functional Area 3 Services
You can find a place for most IT services within the scope of Millennia Lite, Functional Area 3. There are fifteen specific task areas defined (but not limited to) under the contract. These areas are:
- System Development and Software Maintenance
- Facilities Planning, Management, and Operations
- Local Area Networks (LAN), Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) System Design, Management, and Support
- Computer Systems Administration, Management and Maintenance
- Data Entry, Data Storage, Data Retrieval, and Electronic Records Management
- Specialized Workstation (i.e. CAD, CAD/CV, GIS) Support
- Computer Equipment Maintenance (both on-going and on-call)
- Systems Installation and Integration
- Production Support
- Software and Application Development, Maintenance and Enhancement Support
- Data Base Generation and Data Base Management
- Data and/or Media Management
- Orientation and Training
- Information Center/Help Desk
- Computer Graphics Support Services Electronic Records Management

Other functional areas under the Millennia Lite contract include:- Functional Area 1, Information Technology Planning, Studies,
and Assessment
Encompasses Information Technology Planning, Studies, and Assessment to assist the Chief Information Officer and the IRM Official to implement the Clinger-Cohen Act
- Functional Area 2, High End Information Technology Services
(HITS)
HITS provides client agencies a variety of systems support including embedded systems support for complex, high-end information technology engineering life cycle services.
- Functional Area 4, Legacy Systems Migration and New Enterprise
Systems Development
The services offered under this functional area include project management of legacy systems migration and enterprise systems development that government Chief Information Officers and Information Resource Managers consider important.
Labor Rates
The labor rates defined in the contract are ceiling rates and no task order bid can propose rates higher than the ceiling rates; discounts from these rates are permitted within the guidelines we have established for the contract. The labor rates constitute the billing rates to the customer and include the .75% fee which SAIC must forward to GSA on a monthly basis. We will provide you a copy of our updated rates upon request. The Millennia Lite labor categories are based on the 1998 William M. Mercer Information Technology Compensation Survey (Mercer).
