As the lead, SAIC's Defense Solutions Group has achieved an organization-wide Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) Maturity Level 5 rating, the highest possible rating for benchmarking commercial and defense industry best practices for management and engineering.

Broad scope — Provides engineering, technical and programmatic support services that potentially span the entire spectrum of mission areas supported by the Virtual SYSCOM.
Flexibility — A five-year base period $12.855 billion (U.S.) contract ceiling and two five-year award term periods with ceilings of $15.093 billion and $17.460 billion. Task orders are Cost-Reimbursement (CR), or Fixed Price (FP). Use of contractor teams and subcontractors is encouraged.

Small Business Activity — SAIC is a strong advocate of small business involvement in their contracts. New small businesses can be involved as new task order RFPs are identified and reviewed for bid.
