Industry Award
SAIC accepted the 2012 National Design-Build Award for our work at the Vibro-Acoustic Research Facility at NASA's Glenn Research Center. This facility is the largest, highest-powered spacecraft test facility to date. It includes a mechanical vibration facility and a reverberant acoustic test facility with unprecedented size and power that replicates the intense shaking and extreme sound pressure of launch, emergency abort, and re-entry scenarios. The project team included engineers, constructors, and scientists from NASA and SAIC all of whom were committed to enhancing and supporting the future of NASA research and testing.
