Emissions Inventories

SAIC's air quality professionals have decades of experience preparing emission inventories on all scales; whether your need is a national or multi-national inventory for your enterprise or a site-specific inventory for your facility, we have the know-how.

Development of Emission Inventories

SAIC has the industry experience to efficiently develop your next emission inventory. We have worked with thousands of facilities to identify and quantify air toxic emissions and evaluate various risk reduction and control options. We provide a comprehensive array of services to assist our customers with criteria pollutant and air toxics compliance and to help them minimize their operating costs and the potential for future environmental liabilities.

Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission Inventories

As U.S. air quality regulations are applied to regulation of GHG emissions, there is an increasing focus on GHG emission inventories. At SAIC, we are experts in developing GHG emission inventories. Such inventories cover direct and indirect emission sources using recognized methods and protocols. SAIC has helped develop many of the most prominent federal, state, and regional voluntary GHG reporting protocols and guidelines. This includes work on the Environmental Protection Agency Climate Leaders Program, the Environmental Impact Assessment's (EIA) 1605(b) Voluntary Reporting of Greenhouse Gases Program, The Climate Registry, and the California Climate Action Registry. In addition to emission inventories SAIC offers a broad range of GHG management services.

Establish Industry Specific Emission Factors

SAIC capabilities also include developing industry- and facility-specific emission factors for situations where data from regulatory agencies are not available or appropriate for a customer's operation. These factors can be developed with measured data in conjunction with literature reviews. SAIC also has the professional capabilities to design and implement measurement studies to develop data for new or unique operations.
