Permitting and Compliance

At SAIC, we apply expert knowledge of federal, state, and local air quality regulations to work closely with customers in the development of permitting and compliance strategies.

Understanding of Air Quality Regulations

SAIC continuously monitors the changing regulatory scene to keep abreast of new and emerging regulations and technical guidance that could significantly impact operations. With this information, we advise customers of the regulatory implications of new and emerging regulations in terms of emission control requirements, administrative obligations, and other potential compliance burdens.

Obtaining Air Pollution Control Permits

SAIC has been providing air quality permitting support to private and public customers since 1975 and has successfully obtained thousands of air quality permits nationwide, including Nonattainment New Source Review (NNSR), Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), and Title V permits. These services have been provided for projects of varying complexities and include emission estimates, regulatory reviews, siting and feasibility evaluations, Best Achievable Control Technology (BACT), and emission reduction credits. SAIC has interacted with air pollution control agencies throughout the nation and understands the importance of communication in the permitting process to gain timely issuance of permits and has been successful in negotiating on behalf of its customers.
