A Comprehensive Data Warehouse

The MI product allows a downstream business operating along any part of the supply chain the ability to rapidly develop and implement a Business Intelligence solution.

The data warehouse has been specifically designed and developed for the oil and gas downstream business, around a number of hierarchical star schemas, referred to as data marts. The core data marts cover the following areas:

Sales & Marketing

• Provides typical performance indicators required by the marketing business
• Holds planned activity and management targets
• Performance is measurable, traceable, reportable and can be analysed against the plan

• Optimises holding of crude and product stocks for the supply business

Movements

• Provides business performance indicators for Supply and Logistics
• Centres on the efficiency of operations and compliance with contractual obligations
• Tracks contract performance and profitability

Finance

• Sourced with financial information from the General Ledger and Accounts Receivable Ledger

Card Business

• Draws on proceeds and cost information to provide profitability indicators

The product also incorporates a number of operational tools, including a data loader, data aggregator, and meta data manager.
