An Environment for Visualisation and Collaboration

IVCs (also known as HIVEs - Highly Immersive Visualisation Environments) provide a collective environment for visualisation and collaboration. Collaboration is made easier by a common visual and language that allows people from different backgrounds, with different training, and different expertise to engage in an immediately productive working session.

Images can be projected in 3D to allow the team to work interactively with their data, reach decisions quicker, and with better quality, than in traditional environments. A Pilot, who will help users ensure that they get the best from the software, runs each facility.

Experience has shown that approval cycles for well planning, maintenance walkthroughs etc. can be cut dramatically when immersive visualisation environments are used. Any application you can use from your desktop can be used in an iVC/HIVE. The environment is excellent for peer reviews - in fact, any session where teamwork is a prime element can benefit. Wherever you have data that you and your team need to interact with, the iVC/HIVE is a good place to do it.
