SAIC has developed a variety of custom Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions to deliver spatial data to customers via the web and desktop applications.



SAIC utilizes ESRI's ArcGIS suite of applications including ArcView, ArcSDE and ArcIMS. SAIC strives to make applications that are scalable and extendable so that they can be used by a larger audience and for a longer period of time. SAIC has extensive experience developing with both enterprise and personal geodatabases.

Experience and Capability Highlights

  • GIS analysts with experience using ArcGIS extensions such as Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, Geostatistical Analyst, Street Map, etc.
  • GIS developers with experience using Avenue, VBScript, Visual Basic and COM;
  • Web developers with experience using ArcIMS with ASP and Cold Fusion connectors; and
  • GIS analysts with experience developing high quality cartographic products to help visualize information being presented.
  • GIS/Visual Basic programming for custom application development such as the Dredge Material Spatial Management, Analysis and Record Tool (DMSMART) for use in either single or multiple user environments.
  • GIS/Arcview 3.2 extension development, such as the Disposal Analysis Network (DAN) that serves as a spatial data archive for offshore dredge material and environmental monitoring data.
  • ArcIMS web site development, such as PSAS (Personnel Security and Administration System) which is used as a corporate security tool for tracking employees traveling overseas. The web site allows spatial display and report generation of the locations of employees stationed abroad.
