Overview
SAIC's experts compile areas of many sizes and dimensions, anywhere from a few city blocks to entire cities and countries. Production is geared towards rapidly adapting to various scales and standardized specifications for the generation of full 3-D datasets. The production process, tailored to customer needs, consists of three major steps: 3-D feature extraction, 3-D feature finishing, and feature quality control. 3-D feature extraction is performed using the latest satellite imagery. Existing vector data can be used as reference features or as a basis for spatial and attribute information.
3-D Urban Feature Data
3-D Urban Feature Data is a high-resolution database primarily used to support threat analysis and tactical planning in an urban environment. SAIC supports these visualization activities by extracting a vector database containing data derived from digital stereo imager, making feature identification, delineation, and attribution more precise. We design our products to provide accurate positional data for identifiable features that are attributed according to client needs.
LIDAR
SAIC processes light detection and ranging (LIDAR) data to discern and delineate a wealth of three-dimensional (3-D) feature data.
