At SAIC, we process light detection and ranging (LIDAR) data using our own proprietary tools that allow us to automatically discern and delineate a wealth of feature data and greatly reduce both the time and costs of data production. Databases, derived from LIDAR, covering entire urban areas at an individual building and tree level of detail, can be delivered in weeks at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods. These claims are not notional but based on the experience of over 100,000 square km of successful LIDAR processing.
