VACIS® Inspection Systems are designed to non-intrusively inspect large vehicles, cargo and pallets, utilizing a low-level, gamma-ray radiation source to penetrate objects that are suspect to contain contraband or manifest discrepancies.
- Relocatable VACIS® Inspection System
- Mobile VACIS® Inspection System
- Railroad VACIS® Inspection System
- Pallet VACIS® Inspection System
- Portal VACIS® Inspection System
SAIC's EXPLORANIUM has the following products/services on this schedule:
- EXPLORANIUM GR-135 "The Identifier" - Radiation Identification Device
(Gamma and Neutron Capabilities) The GR-135 handheld isotope identifier is outfitted to detect the presence of radioactive emissions in field operations where ease of use and simplicity are critically important. The GR-135 is an automatic, gamma-ray spectrometer that performs three functions in one handheld instrument. The instrument allows the user to Survey (locate contamination), Dose (measure and determine the hazard level) and Analyze (identify) nuclides for risk assessment.
- AT-900 Series Radiation Portal Monitor
The AT-900 Series Radiation Portal Monitor (RPM) is a complete vehicle monitoring system used for the rapid detection of unknown hidden radioactive sources in moving vehicles. A full color console guides a gatehouse operator to each radiation alarm, linking the alarm to a passing vehicle. The AT-900 Series is a sophisticated design enabling operators to initiate the proper response once the system has alarmed. - AT-980 Radiation Portal Monitor (RPM)
The AT-980 Radiation Portal Monitor (RPM) series uses advanced passive scanning technology to detect gamma and neutron radiation sources in closed, moving vehicles, containers and railcars. The AT-980 RPM can scan an entire container, trailer or railcar in seconds, enabling security personnel to screen all traffic passing through a facility or checkpoint with minimal impact on traffic. SAIC has manufactured more than 5,000 RPMs for government agencies and commercial clients in the U.S. and abroad. - GR-460 Mobile Radiation Detection Systems
The GR-460 is a self-contained gamma-ray spectrometer and detector with an integrated control and data recording system. The system operates unattended during actual data collection and is suitable in situations such as pilot-only or pilot-less operated aircraft (UAV), driver-only land vehicles or ROV's. It can also be used in remote locations with the system set-up and data retrieval being performed via a modem. - GR-660 Integrated Airborne / Carbone Radiation Detection Systems
The GR-660 Series of instruments are integrated gamma-ray and neutron radiation monitoring systems for the measurement of both man-made and natural radiation. The systems are designed for easy installation in land vehicles, aircrafts or helicopters.
