Remote Sensing
What is Remote Sensing? Simply stated, it is the observation of earth by various sensor systems. The most common sensor systems used today are housed onboard satellites that orbit the Earth. These systems can return an array of imagery back to receivers on the surface. This imagery is then processed, interpreted, and transformed into products for uses like the ones shown in the chart below.
