Quality Management System
SAIC India's integrated quality management system (QMS) is formally certified against the requirements of the following internationally recognized standards:
- International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2000, QMSs
- TickIT Guide Issue 5.5, Software Quality Management
- Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI) (Level 5)
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL®)
Quality Management System
Our QMS includes processes, procedures, standards, and guidelines, as well as metrics to measure our compliance with the QMS.
Project Management
Our project management processes follow recognized best practices for project initiation, planning, monitoring, control, and closure. We continually analyze quality objectives in the project management processes and take appropriate action for improvement.
Software Engineering
SAIC India's QMS supports a wide variety of software life-cycle models, including waterfall, iterative, incremental, evolutionary (prototype), agile, and computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing models.
Our software engineering processes cover all development stages and include estimation, risk management, configuration management, measurement, and causal analysis.
Technical Support
Our QMS governs the processes we use to provide help desk support and ticket handling, monitoring, and control.
Quality Assurance
SAIC India has a comprehensive internal audit program. Each project is audited at least once in its life cycle and once every quarter. Corrective action and follow-up for any issues ensure appropriate preventive action. The ISO auditing agency conducts external audits annually.

Process Improvement
Process improvement is an integral part of our QMS. We continually monitor our quality processes to identify opportunities for improvement. We also use customer feedback to improve existing processes.
