A team of IT developers has evolved the 511 telephone transit system into a one-stop shop of transit information available on the Internet, telephone, and mobile devices. A new mobile app can plan a trip and provide door-to-door public transit directions and updates. SAIC is creating a standard set of 511 system requirements for deployment to other municipalities and states to provide timely transit information.
