Visit SAIC stand E-100 to see OLIVE-based Training and Operations

At ITEC, SAIC will demonstrate advanced virtual defense, cyber, medical simulation, command and control, and collaboration solutions in three-dimensional (3-D) virtual environments. SAIC will feature its secure, enterprise-grade On-Line Interactive Virtual Environment (OLIVE) software platform in a series of demonstrations that engage visitors in the virtual world and showcase procedural training, operations, and collaboration features in OLIVE.

Demonstrations will include:

• Cyber attack operations center
• Tomahawk cruise missile launch training
• Operation of a small unmanned ground vehicle in search of an IED (improvised explosive device) in Afghanistan
• Hospital emergency room medical team response to a shrapnel victim
• Command and control in-world using OLIVE's Media Dashboard, shared applications, and rich media functionality
• Detailed views of geo-specific, geo-referenced, and custom terrain databases that integrate inside OLIVE

Visitors can go in-world to assume the part of a physician, vehicle operator, and virtual players to experience a range of tasks, activities, and interactions associated with each individual role. The scenarios at ITEC 2011 will display the power of OLIVE persistent, service-oriented, virtual worlds for collaboration, interaction, and interoperability in mission rehearsal, emergency and incident management, cultural and tactical team training, and more.
