Join SAIC Team on Maui High Performance Computing Center (MHPCC) Program
The SAIC Team is pursuing the opportunity to provide innovative technical solutions to the Air Force Research Laboratory at the Maui High Performance Computing Center
About the Program
The Maui High Performance Computing Center (MHPCC) is one of five large high performance computing (HPC) Centers supporting the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). MHPCC is managed by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Directed Energy Directorate, which provides the DoD management oversight for MHPCC and the other Air Force assets on the island of Maui, Hawaii. The current MHPCC management contract is being re-competed and is expected to be awarded prior to October 2011. As an HPCMP Defense Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC), MHPCC contributes to supporting the most challenging research projects within the DoD Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) community. MHPCC maintains one of the DoD's largest HPC configurations and provides subject matter expertise in scalable computing architectures, parallel software development, image and signal processing, modeling and simulation, space physics, open source exploitation, and other key areas of science and engineering.
SAIC has formed a team of exceptional companies and academic institutions with decades of experience in the management of large HPC systems for the DoD, civil government agencies, and the National Science Foundation (NSF). The SAIC Team is ready to take on the challenges that currently face the MHPCC, in addition to those that we will be taking on as we grow together during the next 10 years. Our goals are simple: (1) help MHPCC grow in its ability to be a critical technology leader for our defense and intelligence communities, and (2) foster an environment where each member of the MHPCC staff can reach their personal and professional potential in support of our objectives of providing dedicated, superior HPC capabilities. The SAIC Team is fully prepared to address evolving HPC requirements at all levels of classification.
The SAIC Team values the highly talented staff and former MHPCC employees who are ready to bring their institutional knowledge and expertise back to MHPCC. We are very interested in making this time of potential transition as seamless as possible, and we stand ready to address each of your inquiries about joining the SAIC Team with strict confidentiality. This website will provide you with links into a special career site that has been developed especially for this contract. If you have questions or would like to speak with one of our key staff supporting this contract, that option will be available also.
We very much look forward to your confidential communication to answer questions you may have regarding the future of MHPCC.
