Management Support
SAIC provides broad-based management support to national security clients in a growing number of areas that complement SAIC's expertise in policy and technical national security business areas. SAIC's management support projects span the range from strategic planning through program execution and quality assurance. SAIC's tools and processes focus on helping national security clients identify and solve management needs, tailor and integrate solutions, and leverage creative potential through collaboration. These management support approaches have helped customers throughout government operate more effectively.
SAIC provides management support services for much of the national security community including key elements of the military services, defense agencies, office of the Secretary of Defense, State Department, and intelligence community.
Some of the key management services offered by SAIC's national security team include:
- Organizational transformation support

One of the challenges managers face is understanding the phasing and interrelationships among multiple projects. SAIC has developed a proven Systems Integration Management (SIM) planning and analysis methodology to evaluate and document a customer's existing and "to be" systems architectures, to provide integrated schedule analysis, and to provide system-to-system interface and enterprise-level interoperability assessments
Another powerful management support capability is the Joint Capabilities Assessment Toolset (JCAT). JCAT is a multimedia assessment suite of COTS software that provides a powerful analytic environment for "what if" and "best case" analysis. The analytic environment can be tailored to meet a broad range of management analytic support requirements. It was originally developed to aid the Joint Warfighters Capabilities Assessment (JWCA) process for JCS/J2 intelligence analysts but can now be applied to a range of C2 and C4ISR analytic efforts. JCAT can dynamically retrieve, correlate, and display a wide range of customer defined data.
