AeroPlanner.com™

AeroPlanner.com is a web-based flight planning service exclusively for U.S. airspace and requires only a web browser.

Overview

AeroPlanner.com™ flight planning enables pilots to quickly and accurately plan a route and then easily obtain and package all the aeronautical information required to safely fly the route. AeroPlanner.com is web-based and runs on a desktop computer or laptop — no software downloads or CDs are required to access all the benefits of up-to-date flight planning materials including customizable pre-flight reports, data exports and/or geo-referenced charts.

Applications

The AeroPlanner membership offers a variety of products, including:

  • PDF TripTick - A comprehensive, customized pre-flight report quickly generated as a standard Adobe PDF. The handy 5"x7" TripTick PDF pages are generated after you've completed your flight plan and contain various types of aeronautical information the pilot selects to safely fly the flight.
  • GoogleTick - AeroPlanner.com exports route, chart, weather, airspace, Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs), and aeronautical data into Google Earth KML format.
  • ChartChunks - Downloadable 800x800 to 2400x2400 geo-referenced chart images ready for use in your favorite moving map programs.
  • ZipTick - Downloadable 200x200 to 800x800 geo-referenced chart images of a route from the flight planner. The images display the route overlaid on the charts. ZipTicks are used in your favorite moving map programs.
  • Terminal Procedure Regions - All FAA and some DoD terminal instrument procedures are always available on AeroPlanner.com. They can be viewed and printed individually, included as part of a PDF TripTick, or downloaded by airport, state, or FAA region.
  • DataChunks - Finds airports, navaids, and fixes/waypoints around a selected feature or along a route and downloads them for use in your GPS.
  • Digital Aeronautical Charts - The same high quality Softchart charts used by AeroPlanner and are Destination Direct compatible via download.
  • PDF ChartBooks - A Chartbook eliminates the clutter and folding of using a standard chart by printing the chart in a set of handy 8½ x 11 pages in PDF format. Choose from several types of charts including Sectionals, World Aeronautical Charts (WAC), IFR High, IFR Low, or Terminal Area Chats (TAC).
  • Sim ChartPack - For use in simulators or training only, these out-of-date aeronautical charts can be purchased at a highly discounted rate. They are sold as a pack and are available only by download.

Benefits

What are some benefits of planning flights online?

  • Save time and money
PC-based planners are expensive to buy and difficult to update with current aeronautical information. AeroPlanner.com requires only a web browser. No software downloads or CDs are needed to maintain current information.
  • Plan your flights with current data
AeroPlanner.com uses official FAA data that is updated every 56 days. The flight planner does all of the calculations for the navigation log.
  • Use up-to-date aeronautical charts
AeroPlanner.com scans all the latest editions of NACO published Terminal Area Charts (TACs), Sectionals, World Aeronautical Charts (WACs), and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) Enroute charts to make sure you're using current charts.
