Rugged TigerShark Workstation Consoles
The TigerShark Workstation Center's local user position helps eliminate the need for dedicated administrator workstations, which can save valuable rack space.
Overview
SAIC has developed an Electronic Industry Association (EIA) 19-inch wide, 3RU (5.25 inches high) workstation center. The workstation center includes one of SAIC's rugged flat panel displays (FPDs), a rugged integrated PS/2 keyboard/trackball, and one of the ruggedized Keyboard-Video-Mouse (KVM) switch options listed below.
The total weight of TigerShark 3RU Workstation Center, including the 19-inch FPD, keyboard/trackball, and optional KVM switch is only 55 pounds.

- Rodeo-III 19-inch viewable display (COTS EIZO L788) color FPD with native resolution capabilities of 1280 x 1024, a contrast ratio of 500:1; and dual inputs (HD15 and DVI). PiP (picture-in-picture) feature allows two computer images to display simultaneously.
The TigerShark Workstation Center comes with your choice of one of the following ruggedized KVM switch options:
- CompuSwitch® 1x4 Switch: This KVM switch allows a single user to select and interact with one of four computers. This single user to four computers feature reduces the space required for the other three user interfaces.
- CompuSwitch® 1x8 Switch: This KVM switch allows a single user to select and interact with one of eight computers. This single user to eight computers feature reduces the space required for the other seven user interfaces.
- MasterConsole™ MX 4x8 Switch: The custom master console is an intelligent HMI switch that allows up to four users to interact with eight separate computers.
