Overview

The CMU is the principal component of the Plastics Waste Processor. This "heated compactor" converts shredded, plastic waste into a dense disk, that is heat sealed into an odor barrier bag which is then suitable for long-term storage. It can process lightly contaminated food as well as clean plastic. The CMU is designed to handle other materials that may be combined with, or contain, plastic components that cannot be processed in the normal solid waste stream.

We also refurbish the CMU in accordance with a Technical Repair Standard.
