GR-500 Series Radiation Portal Monitor (RPM)
Overview
The GR-500 Series is a portal radiation monitoring system (RPM) that is designed to detect the presence of a shielded radioactive source buried in a moving vehicle. Vehicles pass between two large detectors at a controlled speed, and using sophisticated algorithms, the detector output is analyzed and in turn provides visual and audible alarms indicating the location of the radioactive source. The system offers reliable, year-round operation and is suitable for:
