Personal Dosimeter Management System (PDMS)
Overview
PDMS is a Windows-based software application for calibration, option setting and issue/return for the SAIC PD line of Electronic Dosimeters.
Applications
The PDMS software allows the user to interface an SAIC Personal Electronic Dosimeter with an SAIC PDR-1 reader to automatically set up, issue, return and evaluate electronic dosimeters. An electronic dosimeter is a small instrument worn on the body that measures the amount of radiation to which an individual may have been exposed. In addition to measuring the amount of radiation, these devices can also provide early warning alarms for the total dose and/or dose rate the individual is receiving. The PDMS software also includes the ability to calibrate and print calibration records for the SAIC PD-10i.
Features
The PDMS software provides access to all the EPROM (Erasable, Programmable, Read Only Memory) registers in the dosimeter, allowing read and update capabilities for all the parameters.
Benefits
The PDMS software is exclusively for use with the SAIC PD line of Electronic Dosimeters. It provides a user-friendly, standalone application to rapidly set up, calibrate, issue and read PD-3i and PD-10i dosimeters. The software will function on any standard PC with a Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT operating system.
