Tactical Engagement Simulation (TES)
SAIC's Tactical Engagement Simulation (TES) training systems provides noncombat vehicles and targets with high-fidelity detection systems for real-time casualty assessment.
Overview
The TES training systems come in a range of products to meet live training needs from basic Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) components to the most recent MILES variant, the Combat Vehicle System (CVS), and exciting, emerging efforts like the Operational Test Tactical Engagement System (OT-TES) and geometric-bearing (GB) systems. SAIC TES systems are designed for dismounted warfighters' individual and crew-served weapons, combat vehicles like tanks and Bradleys, and noncombat vehicles and targets, such as bridges and buildings.
Applications
SAIC TES training systems support tough realistic field training exercises with wireless, lightweight, low-power, laser common components which are interoperable throughout SAIC's dismounted and mounted systems. TES training systems include:
Common Vehicle System (CVS) Kit
The Common Vehicle System (CVS) Kit provides the base for the different combat vehicles of today and tomorrow.
CVS Abrams Adapter Kit
The CVS Abrams Adapter Kit combines with the CVS Common Kit to outfit the numerous variants of the M1 series of Main Battle Tank and can be modified for use with European Union (EU) tank vehicles.
CVS Bradley Adapter Kit
The CVS Bradley Adapter Kit combines with the CVS Common Kit to outfit numerous variants of the Bradley family of vehicles and can be modified to work with other similar military vehicles.
Wireless Independent Target System (WITS)
The Wireless Independent Target System (WITS) provides noncombat vehicles and targets, such as trucks, bridges and buildings, with a high-fidelity detection system for real-time casualty assessment.
MK-19 Simulator Player Unit
The SAIC MK-19 Simulator Player Unit simulates the firing and actual effects of an MK-19 in a MILES environment.
Wireless Individual Weapon System (W-IWS)
The Wireless Individual Weapon System (W-IWS) for the Dismounted Warrior is lightweight, small and easy to mount on all uniform categories making it one of the most adaptable and flexible available today.
Mini MILES
The Mini MILES product line can be quickly fitted to a warfighter's standard issue personal service sidearm with SAIC's in-barrel conversion kit providing a MILES firing solution without weapon modification.
Air Defense Weapons Systems (ADWS) MILES Kits
The Air Defense Weapons Systems (ADWS) MILES Kits provides an adaptable, wireless, tactical engagement and instrumentation system for contemporary air defense weapons to simulate air defense engagements in live infantry and armor-based exercises.
Features
The SAIC TES wireless training systems are easy and quick to install and adaptable to the user and weapons systems. Wireless means there are no cables that can be cut or damaged during an exercise. This reduces support costs and soldier intrusiveness, allowing the user to "train as you fight."
The lightweight, low-power components of the TES training systems minimize interference with live training and weapon systems' operation. Batteries recharge on the go using embedded solar panels or vehicle battery power.
SAIC TES training systems have demonstrated non-line-of-sight GB technology at Army training bases and have been successfully embedded inside vehicles.
Benefits
SAIC TES training systems support tough, realistic field training exercises with state-of-the-art wireless, lightweight, low-power, laser components. The common components are interoperable throughout SAIC's dismounted and mounted systems so you can combine capabilities of different wireless components to fit the warfighter's unique training needs. This helps to lower production costs, reduce life-cycle support expenses, and provides the opportunity to procure more systems to support your training objectives.
