CVS Abrams Adapter Kit

Overview

It can be modified for use with any contemporary main battle tank and is adaptable to Challenger 2MBT, Leopard II MBT, and LeClerc MBT.

The CVS Common Kit provides different M1 tank and other variants of today and tomorrow with an enhanced, high-fidelity, and state-of-the-art detection system in force-on-force training exercises in a Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES)-based live training environment.

Applications

The Abrams Main Battle Tank is easily added to the CVS Common Kit to create a complete vehicle system. The Abrams laser transmitter adapter mounts to the main gun or coaxial machine gun (COAX) flash shroud and mounts the wireless laser transmitter (WLT) and other components from the CVS Common Kit to function over the wireless network as an Abrams weapons system.

• Abrams Adapter

Like all SAIC TES training systems, the Abrams Adapter Kit combines with the CVS Common Kit to support tough, realistic force-on-force training exercises with wireless, laser common components which are interoperable throughout SAIC's dismounted and mounted systems.

• Tracer effects that inject into gunner's eyepiece for added realism
• Energy-efficient design that combines the use of embedded solar panel with rechargeable battery that recharges adapter kit components in the transit case
