GeoRover® Mobile
The SAIC GeoRover Mobile Application and Desktop solution streamlines and enhances the processes of editing, importing, and sharing geospatial data through a combination of flexible editing tools and Map-Pack import and export wizards.
Overview
The SAIC GeoRover Mobile software solution combines powerful desktop capabilities with the flexibility of mobile devices to provide GIS on both platforms. The Mobile software solution streamlines and enhances the processes of editing, importing and sharing geospatial data through a combination of robust and flexible interactive editing tools and Map-Pack import and export wizards.
The GeoRover Mobile Desktop extension is a plug-in to the commercial Esri® ArcGIS® Desktop application (ArcView®, ArcEditor™, or ArcInfo®). The toolbar enables users to easily import and export points, lines, and polygons from new or existing feature layers and base maps from raster datasets.
The GeoRover Mobile Application is a program that resides on mobile devices (phones or tablets) that support the Android™ platform. This application can be used in connected or disconnected environments and allows users to edit and create features in existing shapefiles or feature classes. The Mobile application integrates both internal and external global positioning systems (GPS) and available Wi-Fi™ networks to provide current location data. All edits to geospatial features on the device can be reconciled easily back to the ArcMap™ application.
