Pathfinder, developed by SAIC, is a software tool suite designed and built to champion the process and analysis of data derived from large and diverse information sources.
Overview
Pathfinder's information search engine and entity extraction capability are key to Pathfinder's powerful capability. Additionally, the Pathfinder tool suite includes a wide array of sophisticated and tightly integrated text data mining and knowledge discovery tools to add structure to large collections of unstructured text documents and data.

Geographic Entity Plotting (GeoPlot Entity)
GeoPlot Entity allows the user to identify geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude, decimal degrees, and MGRS) within a specified proximity to a keyword search term in a result set. The user may then associate and icon or symbol, including MilStd 2525B symbols, within the location and automatically plot them on National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) standard mapping products. Term Lists – Expediting Analysis

Timeline – Tracking Entities Over Time

Word Tools – Increasing Query Precision
Word Tools extended Boolean query syntax is used by Pathfinder as a powerful and efficient language for returning high precision result sets. However, this query language requires the analyst to carefully specify the terms or patterns of the search.
