AEI Tags, Programmers & Handheld Readers

Overview

SAIC's Automatic Equipment Identification (AEI) products include standalone readers, handheld readers, tags, programmers, as well as software solutions and turnkey installation services.

Applications

AEI tags, support products and software help to enhance the use of AEI data. AEI Reader systems provide automated tracking of railcars and shipments via RF tags, and make shipment location information available to railroads and their customers. Each of our AEI products complies with Association of American Railroads Specification S-918. SAIC is an authorized TransCore/Amtech AEI distributor.

For use on railcars that could be subjected to higher temperatures due to operation through thaw sheds.

AT5704/AT5707 Dynamic AEI Tag
Allows collection and transmission of on-board data to the wayside AEI Reader system. Applications include fuel level, water, oil pressure, temperature and alarm monitoring.

  

AT5541 End-of-Train Device AEI Tag
Battery powered tag specifically designed for use with railroad End-Of-Train (EOT) units.
