Overview

SAIC provides project life-cycle solutions to National Grid, an international electricity and gas company and one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the world, to help the company further its capital projects program goals. As a project management and engineering team, SAIC’s services range from project initiation to planning, execution, monitor and control, and project closeout.

SAIC manages installation of new distribution and transmission lines, high-voltage equipment, civil and structural elements, new control buildings and metal-enclosed switchgear, and relay and control system. The control system upgrades include installation of distribution automation of high-voltage equipment, including conservation voltage regulation, remote terminal unit installations, and fiber optic control cable installations.

Using load flow modeling tools, SAIC is conducting solar generation impact studies that are connecting to the grid. National Grid’s energy storage project will provide a demonstration of integration of energy storage and utility-scale renewable energy.

By providing solutions over the entire project life-cycle, SAIC tailors its solutions to National Grid’s unique programs and procedures.
