Tips For Creating a Strong Company Profile
SAIC wants each small business to be successful in marketing its company's services, products, and solutions to SAIC. The following tips are provided to ensure that each profile submitted is accurate and complete. Incorporating these tips in your profile submission will assist SAIC business development personnel in identifying capable small businesses with the required skill sets needed for current and upcoming programs.
- Certification Dates – Verify 8a, SDB, and HUBZone certification dates prior to entering them in the profile. If you are a veteran-owned company, we encourage you to verify your ability to obtain service-disabled veteran-owned status (if applicable) with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Key Capabilities/Skills – Select those in which your company has proven past performance and expertise. It is better to be excellent in two areas than good in twelve.
- Description of Company Key Business Areas/Technical Expertise – Focus on key words that summarize your capabilities/offerings. It is recommended to list any company differentiators or discriminators that set you apart from your competition, as well as major contract vehicles (GSA IT Schedule, Seaport-e, EAGLE, etc.).
- Key Customers – Select those in which your company has recent past performance. List agencies that you are currently working with versus agencies that you supported in past years and have not worked with recently.
- Departments/Commands/Bases – Commands, bases, sub-agencies will display based on your responses to the previous question. This is important as it allows SAIC to identify the specific agency you are supporting.
- Key Past Performance Cases – Include a concise and specific description of work. This information is reviewed carefully by SAIC personnel as it provides the breadth and depth of support being provided to our customers.
- If submitting a capabilities statement with your profile, please do not rely on any attachments to identify your company's skill sets. It is best to include all pertinent information in the profile itself.
