National Security Space

Expertise in systems engineering and integration; hardware design and delivery for electro-optical and specialized communication hardware; operations center design, sensor data processing, rapid-response payload and data analysis

National Security Space Overview

For over thirty years, SAIC has been a leader in providing full-spectrum systems engineering and integration, rapid-response payloads and software and hardware solutions to support military, intelligence and federal customers as well as commercial space endeavors. Our sophisticated technology capabilities range from managing missile early warning systems to GPS navigation systems and weather satellites.

SAIC successfully developed and delivered the Commercially Hosted Infrared Payload (CHIRP) to the U.S. Air Force. Launched in September 2011 as a hosted payload aboard commercial geostationary communications satellite, CHIRP is an example of how SAIC can deliver rapid, cost-effective methods of launching space-payloads without years of development and testing.
