Dollars Subcontracted by Government Fiscal YearIn Government Fiscal Year 2008 (GFY 08), SAIC awarded $1.6 billion in subcontracts to small businesses. This is the fourth year in a row that SAIC has subcontracted over one billion to small businesses. SAIC's commitment is clearly demonstrated as this activity is more than 15% of SAIC's revenues.
To ensure continued company success and growth opportunities to small businesses, SAIC focuses on the following:
- A proactive corporate-led 'Small Business Development Program' responsible for marketing and outreach/awareness activities.
- Fostering strategic relationships with small businesses that lead to subcontracting as well as prime contracting opportunities.
